Ablatus is the creator of Luna, a minimally invasive, uterus-preserving, and inclusive treatment for fibroids. These tumours, which grows in the womb affect up to 80% of women by the age of 50 - with up to half of them affected with debilitating symptoms like period for up to 21 days, impacting quality of life, fertility, and productivity.
Luna is powered by our patented enhanced ablation platform that can be used to destroy cancerous and non-cancerous soft tissues.
Treatment is delivered via a steerable probe through the cervix to tackle hard-to-reach fibroids for up to 80% of women currently not eligible for state-of-the-art technologies without removing the uterus but wishing to avoid invasive surgery.

Babyndex, created by a gynecologist and his economist son, features an FDA-approved microscope paired with a mobile app to analyze saliva crystals for fertility tracking. The app identifies the most fertile days, helping women to effectively track their fertility. Available for iOS and Android, Babyndex is proven to aid users trying to conceive, offering a user-friendly design and reliable results.
Calico Biosystems is addressing the critical unmet need of the poor efficacy of cancer therapeutics for female patients with cancers. Cancer is a leading cause of death which kills one in six women. A main cause is the artificial models currently used for testing anti-cancer drug efficacy; they fail to recapitulate patient tumor complexity. Consequently, most anti-cancer drugs fail to reach approval due to a lack of efficacy and are extremely costly to develop. Further, approved anti-cancer drugs benefit only 10% of cancer patients. Calico Biosystems is the first platform testing drugs directly on female patient tumors thus predicting reliably at the pre-clinical stage the efficacy of drugs in patients.

CC Diagnostics is an in vitro diagnostic device manufacturer, developing a novel qPCR test for cervical cancer screening. Our Methica test evaluates the levels of methylation of a panel of proprietary tumor-suppressor genes. With this test we can detect up to 97% of all cervical cancer cases, saving thousands of lives and healthcare cost. Our test is compatible with self-collected samples, enabling full cervical screening from home. The assay is best positioned for automation and high-throughput laboratory settings.

Mamotest developed Bolder, a digital platform designed to connect awareness, screening, diagnosis, and treatment solutions in one place, and track and trace patient journeys to ensure women receive timely, high-quality care. The platform not only ensures efficient follow-up but also structures data to drive business intelligence and evidence-based decision-making. By connecting demand and supply, and providing teleradiology and patient support services, Mamotest creates a seamless experience for women, reducing delays and improving outcomes.
Tech4Eva’s program has been a great opportunity to connect, share, and get support from fellows and entrepreneurs facing similar challenges in the FemTech Health field. Namida is a biotechnology startup specializing in developing and commercializing early cancer detection proteomics tests. Namida’s first product is Auria, the first at-home biological breast cancer screening test powered by tears. Auria will improve the health outcomes for women through convenient early breast cancer detection and presents the opportunity to disrupt the breast cancer screening market that is clinically confusing and has lacked innovation.

OvulaRing is the most sophisticated menstrual cycle tracker. It collects 288 temperature data points/day and uses AI for real-time fertile day detection. Useable for non-hormonal contraception, as well as conception and for menstrual cycle-based training. Success rates are higher than with IVF.

CareMother Baby Beat is a portable, wireless, smartphone based, non-stress test (NST) device with AI capability, that can be used by mothers for self-monitoring of fetal health at home, with results shared with their doctor online for advice.
Intignus Biotech is developing simple and accessible solutions in the area of maternal and child health care. We aim to better clinical, operational, and economic outcomes by using point-of-care tests that allow on-the-spot decision-making for clinicians. Our first product addresses the unmet need for early screening of preeclampsia. This pregnancy-related disorder can strike quickly, potentially causing severe and immediate complications unless the pregnancy is induced. We have developed an affordable and easy-to-use screening test for all pregnant women which can predict preeclampsia development in the upcoming weeks of gestation.
Malaica is designing a remote pregnancy support program to make pregnancy safe and convenient for African Pregnant women. The program offers a dedicated nurse midwife as a coach, a community of Pregnant women, personalized education, and support accessing all appropriate healthcare. Plus, many health interventions are delivered 100% remotely.

Hyivy Health creates a data-driven pelvic rehabilitation system for the 1 in 3 women worldwide who will experience a pelvic health complication in their lifetime. Our system provides the first quantifiable data set on the pelvic floor by using our Floora device to conduct three different therapies, which are tracked using multiple biosensors.
The program also allows us to connect with potential partners, collaborators, distributors, and market access consultants. I'm also looking forward to making connections with global FemTech companies.
Egal’s Pads on a Roll help women manage their periods safely, privately, hygienically and with dignity. Pads on a Roll look like toilet paper, are individually wrapped, and are installed next to toilet paper so the products are available when and where they are needed. Typically period pads or tampons, if they are even stocked, are located in separate vending machines by the sink -- not where you want to find them, and often too late to help.

LumaWomb is a medical device that enables women with impaired endometrium to carry their own children. Using near-infrared, the device improves fertility by creating an adequately thick endometrial lining, thus providing conditions for a fertilized egg to implant.

Tech4Eva was an eye opener and acted as a true accelerator of our mindset and the overall company evolution process. Monthly updating with a dedicated mentor has been fundamental in our journey. When peers are so close to you in their profile and needs, this is even a much better experience. I have found a community with a drive for cooperation and partnering. We are very grateful to the program and the organizers for the opportunity. We encourage young start-ups in Femtech to apply for the next cohort.

I feel completely blessed to have this powerful group of supporters to call upon and ask for support, expertise, and connections. Given the headwinds that still exist in this field, this network is invaluable, and I would encourage anyone entering this industry to invest in that network early to test your ideas and learn from other’s successes and missteps.

SelfCerve is a self-administered medical device that allows women in low-resource settings to screen for cervical cancer. Our technology eliminates needing an exam bed, stirrups, and even a trained practitioner for a diagnosis. Our mission with SelfCerve is to reach the last mile by normalizing cervical cancer screening globally. With the distribution of the SelfCerve device, we enable low-cost, quality screening with the ultimate goal of increased treatment of precancerous lesions.
NuroKorFemtech is developing new technology that can deploy personalized treatments that meet the needs of each individual and their experience of painful conditions affecting female reproductive health. Our team is bringing together expertise in bioelectronics, data science, and AI/ML to create the world’s first adaptive app-driven technology for menstrual health. We are on a real mission to revolutionize women's healthcare with the smartest therapeutic wearable. Period.
Samphire Neuroscience is a women's health company that builds neurotechnology-based solutions for neglected women's health needs. Its first medical device, the Samphire Hairband, will be available in early 2024 and is a wearable, non-invasive device that can address premenstrual low mood, anxiety, and menstrual pain complaints in women of reproductive age with diagnoses of PMS, PMDD, and dysmenorrhea from a home setting, drastically improving the standard of care and reducing the time to treatment for most women with these conditions
